The Grown-Up's Guide to Growing Down
Remembering who you were before the world made you boring
The Grown-Up's Guide to Growing Down is a joyful rebellion against the invisible rulebook that's been flattening us into beige, boring adults. It turns the traditional keynote format upside down and takes audiences on a tearful, hilarious adventure.
Because the joyful, curious, wonderfully bold kid you used to be is the secret to innovation, ideation, and creating a better world. Hope and autonomy are still available to us!
Hi! I'm your buddy, Meg! My background is a blob of design, writing, music, improv, and clown, allowing me to change the world in ways that only I can. I'm showing adults how to undo, unlearn, and ungrow-up. Because somewhere between childhood and now, the world trained us to betray our most original ideas.
Your audience will:
- Finally understand why they feel stuck, lost, and overwhelmed (and why none of it is their fault)
- Discover that the most innovative, confident version of themselves is laying dormant inside
- Learn The Speed of Fun Methodology to ideate and act on their most unique, one-of-a-kind ideas
- Celebrate their power to change everything for themselves and for the world
- Leave the room buzzing with energy, enthusiasm, and ready to connect with each other
Your audience is excited AND scared for their future.
My talk is the counterweight your lineup needs.
2026 lineups are full of big possibilities and loads of change. Audiences leave inspired about what's coming and scared of where they'll fit into it. My keynote is designed to give your audience hope, autonomy, and control over their own future! It will reunite them with their unique humanity, and build confidence in what they can do that no one else possibly could. They'll leave your event feeling like the future needs them. Because it does!

Why I'm *different*
A performer at heart, with something important to say!
Designer!
My background in design means the design and experience of my keynotes are on point.
Comedian!
I'm trained in improv and stand-up, allowing me to not be afraid to go big in any room!
Physical actor!
I'm trained in clown, physical acting, and even stunt training. When I say my keynote is part performance art, I mean it!
People-pleaser!
I show up early, get you everything you need, and my life depends on making you happy. My flaws are your gain!
And workshops too!
My workshops are where everyone gets to put The Speed of Fun Methodology into action! This is a high-energy hands-on workshop that uses improv and clown technique (in a not-scary way) through the guise of creativity and ideation games! They'll learn to rapidly ideate, innovate, and unlock their best ideas yet. It's a blast!
The Speed of Fun: Innovation and Ideation Workshop
How to recognize when you're killing your most original ideas and opting for safe (boring) ones instead
How to ideate at the Speed of Fun: generating ideas faster than fear can interfere
How your unique brain unlocks ideas that nobody else in the room possibly could
How to yes-and creative ideas to collaborate with others
A repeatable methodology to pull out whenever creativity feels stuck or inspiration stalls
Your audience will laugh, feel seen, and leave looking at work and life completely differently.
They said it, not me!
"Meg showed me things about myself I didn't even know. I look at everything I do through a totally different lens now and am SO much more confident making work that feels just like me!"
"Meg is an expert at approaching complex, serious topics in such a fun way that it makes otherwise painful transformative work feel easy."
"Everyone walked away empowered to take control of their careers! Meg was an absolute delight and an inspiration, and we are so grateful."
"Meg is one of those rare brilliantly hilarious speakers that constantly has your attention. Best of all, Meg is involved with attendees, spending incredible quality time with them and doesn't just appear for the talk. Meg is all in."
Let's bring this to your event!
I'm often booked as both opener and closer because my talk is usually the emotional and energetic climax of the entire event! As an opener, my energy and raw vulnerability create immediate connection between attendees. As a closer, I'm what one organizer called "the exclamation point at the end of the event!" Either way, audiences leave buzzing and inspired. I show up fully prepared, on time, and genuinely thrilled to be there. You won't ever have to chase me for anything!

Got questions?

My rates fluctuate greatly depending on the size of your event, organization, and budget for speakers. My priority is getting my methodology into the hands of as many people as possible.
If your event and audience are a great match for my message, I donāt let financial barriers get in the way! Reach out to me at boop@meglewis.com and weāll chat about what works for your budget. You can be honest and transparent with me, I like it!
-
Mostly no, but kind of yes! My talk is pre-written, well-planned, and intentionally crafted to be well-received and applicable to everyone in the room. However, as an improviser and performer I love to add little bits throughout my talk that address the specific event, audience, and the energy in the room. I always read the room and love learning about your event and audience so I donāt say something that wonāt land. Itās important to me that my talk never comes across forced, fake, or formulaic. It will feel organic, intimate, vulnerable, and special. I promise!
-
My talk is often selected as the counterweight to a lineup that is AI-heavy. Audience members are fatigued, scared, and excited all at once. My talk is designed to remind them of their beautiful human ability to create things for the world that no one else can. So they find confidence, autonomy, and control over a future that desperately needs them. While I donāt say āAIā once during my keynote, I also donāt go on an anti-AI rant. This isnāt about that!
Iām also selected as the first or last speaker because my vulnerability and humanity creates a high-energy feeling in the crowd that a technical talk cannot. Iām an expert in creating intimacy and closeness. By the end of my talk, attendees will feel cracked open, ready to have fun, and excited to meet each other.
-
Please do! It's my favorite way to work. The keynote cracks everyone's hearts open and makes them excited for their future. The workshop is where they put it into action! This way you can fill 2 slots with one person. I know how time saving (and budget-saving) that can be for you!
-
Of course! My keynote and workshop translates beautifully to in-person, virtual, and hybrid spaces. I tenderly design my experiences to consider all.
-
Not yet! This is a brand new talk debuting in Fall 2026 so I hope to have recordings available soon. However, a similar āwork-in-progressā version of this talk is available to view here.

Yes! Ask the teams at Bloomberg, Cisco, and Accenture and the many marketing conferences in hotel ballrooms Iāve spoken at. I believe that nobody is truly ābuttoned-upā. Weāre all silly little freaks inside. And itās my job to incrementally prove to your audience that their most unique self is how they can innovate and truly shine. Itās designed to keep them comfortable and laughing so there will never be any awkwardness. The stiffer the room, the bigger the transformation!
-
Yes! The talk isn't about creativity as a job, it's about being a human with a brain. I've done this for engineers, finance folks, marketing conferences, HR professionals, and salespeople. They're often the rooms that need it most (and the ones that surprise themselves the most too).
-
If youāre worried about the content of my talk and would like full transparency. I have an outline that I can forward your way that goes through the highlights of everything I say. Itās peace of mind to make sure your event and my message are aligned.
-
Absolutely! I love the camera (and the camera loves me). And it often gives me even more to work with!
-
Anywhere! I started this work as an excuse to travel and then the audiences, people, and connections were what made me fall in love. I am based in Philadelphia but have spoken at events all over the world. Send me to your tiny town, remote village, or New York is fineā¦again!
-
As early as you can! Conference season dates (April-May and September-October) go fast, but I've also pulled off beautiful things on short notice! If your event is soon, reach out anyway and we'll see what's possible.
